In today's job market, it is imperative to have on-the-job experience. In the arts especially, formal education alone is not sufficient for a successful career. Second Company interns are exposed to all areas of the
theater in order to gain knowledge of the inner workings of professional nonprofit
theater. The program is designed to nurture future
theater leaders.
The internship is a
full-time, full-season
commitment — approximately
mid-August to mid-June.
The Second Company work in all aspects of the theater, including box office, artistic direction, production, tech, and administration. Interns are the running crew for main stage productions and the cast for the Studio Series. When appropriate, interns may understudy for the main stage and may possibly be cast in supporting roles for main stage
