In a continuing effort to save money, the BoarsHead needs volunteers to house our actors/directors and playwrights. Do you like to meet new people? If you do, this opportunity is for you! Actors are in town for 6 weeks, directors are here for 3-4 weeks, and playwrights are here 4-5 days. It would cost us approximately $3,185 ($65 per night 7 days a week for 7 weeks) per actor if we had to place them in a hotel.

You might wonder what your obligation would be. Host families have minimal obligations: we ask that you provide a bedroom and access to kitchen and bath facilities. Some actors have their own vehicles, other have transportation provided by the theater. Each actor is paid a weekly per diem to cover the cost of food and other expenses. During the rehearsal period their hours vary; once dress rehearsals and performances start they’re working evenings.
